HackingKindness 2020 ACU.png

This year, we kicked off our social good hackathon, HackingKindness, where we partnered with Mikayla’s Grace, a Madison non-profit that supports families with a baby in the NICU and those who experience the loss of an infant by providing them with both practical and emotional support, to revamp their website. With our first-ever social good hackathon in the books, we’re now taking nominations and looking for 2020’s organization. Know a local business that could use web design, development or digital marketing help? See the information below and nominate them today!

WHO’S ELIGIBLE?

Any businesses, organizations, or non-profits in the local Madison area who are doing good and trying to make a difference in the world. We know that’s broad criteria, but good takes many forms.

HOW DO I SUBMIT A NOMINATION?

Head to our HackingKindness website and complete the entry form. We just need a few pieces of information to understand more about the organization and project we’ll be working on like: the company’s name, a contact’s name and information, what they need help with and why they should be chosen. And yes, you can nominate your own organization or business.

HOW IS THE WINNER CHOSEN?

We review all of the nominations that come in and pick the one that our team feels is the most in need of our help.

WHAT KIND OF WORK ARE WE OFFERING?

It’ll depend on what you need, but we’re offering expertise in five general areas: web design and development, search engine optimization (SEO), brand messaging, logo and creative asset design, and strategy and consulting. Our hackathon is only one weekend long, so we’ll need to be realistic about what we take on, but we’ll do our best to get you something that will make a real difference.

WHEN ARE NOMINATIONS DUE? WHEN WILL THE HACKATHON HAPPEN?

We’ll be taking nominations through January 31, 2020, and will select our winning nomination by March 1, 2020. The hackathon will take place during the summer, the exact dates are TBD and will be determined after consulting with the winner.
